Introduction
Qingtan is managed by Shenzhen Hongcheng Technology Co., Ltd. We respect and protect user privacy. This policy explains how personal information is collected, used, shared, stored and protected, and how you may exercise your rights under applicable laws and technical standards in mainland China.
1. Personal information we collect
We collect only information needed for stated functions. Depending on how you use Qingtan, this may include account name, nickname, password, email address, avatar, gender, birthday, profile information, login and operation logs, IP address, cookie data, device model, operating-system version, network type, device identifiers, mobile-network information, location information where authorized, and messages or media needed to deliver communications.
Account and email information supports registration, membership, password recovery and security alerts. Device and usage information supports service operation, compatibility, analytics, fraud prevention, account-security checks and product improvement. Chat text, voice, images, video and files are processed as needed to transmit communications and manage contacts or relationships.
If you refuse optional information or permissions, the related function may be unavailable, but unrelated functions should remain available where technically possible.
2. How we use personal information
- Provide, maintain and improve account, messaging, membership and customer-support functions.
- Authenticate users, recover accounts, detect abnormal activity and protect service security.
- Adapt pages and functions to devices, analyze service use and improve experience.
- Send service, security and message notifications.
- Process payments and maintain legally required transaction records where paid services are used.
- Comply with applicable law, regulatory requirements and valid requests from competent authorities.
3. Device permissions and third-party SDKs
Qingtan requests permissions only when needed for a feature. Storage permissions may read or save local app settings and cached files; phone-state or device information may support security and service analytics; camera access supports taking photos or video and uploading an avatar; microphone access supports voice messages; and location access may be used only for a disclosed location-related or anti-fraud purpose after authorization.
Qingtan integrates third-party software development kits where necessary for stable operation, analytics, messaging and security. These providers may process information directly according to their own policies.
- Umeng SDK — analytics and social sharing; may process device identifiers such as IMEI, MAC address, Android ID, IDFA/OPENUDID/GUID, SIM IMSI, IP address, carrier information, Wi-Fi MAC address and coarse or precise location where authorized. - Tencent Cloud IM SDK — message delivery, relationship management and user or group information management; may process device model, hardware status, IP address, operating-system version, network type, operation logs, text, voice, images, video, files, nickname, signature, gender, birthday, IM account ID and friend relationships. - Third-party providers are required to meet confidentiality and data-security obligations. Qingtan assesses integrated SDKs and limits sharing to information necessary for the stated service purpose.
4. Cookies and similar technologies
Cookies and web beacons may recognize registered users, maintain login status, count users and improve product quality and experience. You may reject or receive notices about cookies through your browser or device settings, although disabling cookies may affect login or other functions. Non-sensitive information may be used for marketing only within the scope permitted by law and applicable consent requirements.
5. Sharing, transfer and public disclosure
We do not share personal information except with your explicit authorization; as required by law, judicial or administrative authorities; to protect life, property, public interests or other lawful rights; at a guardian’s lawful request; under a contract or legal document with you; or with service providers necessary to deliver the functions described in this policy.
Partners may include infrastructure, functional-service, analytics, customer-service and survey providers. We require recipients to use information only for lawful, legitimate, necessary, specific and explicit purposes and to apply confidentiality and security safeguards.
We do not transfer personal information except with explicit authorization, where legally required, under a legal agreement, or as part of a merger, acquisition, restructuring or insolvency. A successor must continue to honor this policy or obtain new consent for a changed purpose. Public disclosure occurs only with permission or where law, public safety or protection of lawful interests requires it.
6. How we protect personal information
We use reasonable industry-standard safeguards, including HTTPS or transport encryption, encrypted storage where appropriate, isolation, masking or de-identification, access controls, multi-factor authentication, security and behavior audits, monitoring, staff confidentiality obligations and security training.
No internet service can guarantee absolute security. If a personal-information security incident occurs, we will provide information about its nature and possible effects, measures taken or planned, and risk-reduction advice through email, letter, phone, push notification or public notice as appropriate, and report to regulators where required.
7. Storage period and location
Personal information is stored in mainland China. Qingtan currently does not provide personal information overseas.
Log information and record backups are retained for 180 days after account cancellation. Transaction information is retained for three years after the transaction date or 180 days after account cancellation. After the applicable period, information is deleted or anonymized unless a longer period is required or permitted by law.
8. Your information rights
You may access or correct profile information such as avatar, nickname, gender and birthday through the personal-profile editing functions. You may request information about third-party recipient types, deletion, withdrawal of consent, a copy of personal information, explanation or remedy for automated decisions that significantly affect lawful rights, or other rights provided by law.
You may request deletion where processing violates law or an agreement, consent was not obtained, the information is no longer necessary, you stop using the Services, cancel the account, or Qingtan stops providing the Services. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing lawfully completed before withdrawal.
To cancel an account, contact customer service or use the contact details below. Cancellation is irreversible. After cancellation, Qingtan stops providing the relevant Services and deletes account information unless retention is required by law. Reasonable requests are generally free; repeated, excessive, technically disproportionate or rights-infringing requests may be charged at cost or refused as permitted by law.
A request may be limited where it concerns national or defense security, public safety or health, major public interests, criminal investigation or proceedings, bad-faith or abusive requests, serious harm to others’ rights, or trade secrets. Qingtan may verify identity and aims to respond to complaints within 10 days.
9. Children and minors
We give special protection to minors’ personal information. Users under 14 must obtain guardian consent before using Qingtan. Users aged 14 to under 18 must obtain their own or their guardian’s consent as applicable. Registration is treated as confirmation that the required consent has been obtained, and information is protected in accordance with applicable law.
10. Policy updates
This policy may be updated as services and business practices develop, but user rights under the effective policy will not be reduced without explicit consent where required. Updated versions are published through the website or app with notice before they take effect.
Prominent notice will be given for material changes, including major changes to processing purposes, information types or use; ownership or organizational structure; principal recipients; user rights and how to exercise them; security contacts or complaint channels; or high risks identified by an impact assessment.
11. Dispute resolution
The parties should first try to resolve disputes arising from this policy through friendly consultation. If consultation fails, either party may bring proceedings before a competent court as provided in the registration agreement and applicable law.
